2025 ‘Hoops4Schools’ Raises over $33k to Support Disengaged Youth in Education

2025 ‘Hoops4Schools’ Raises over $33k to Support Disengaged Youth in Education

The 20-day annual fundraising cause, Hoops4Schools, has successfully concluded, this year raising an impressive $33,671 to support young people who are disengaged from mainstream education. With 20% of youth currently affected by this growing education crisis, Hoops4Schools brings much-needed attention to the urgent need for alternative learning pathways across the nation.

Culminating in the 20-day challenge with the The Corporate Challenge Day which saw teams represented from community, business and schools, the hoop-shooting skills on display were exceptional this year! See below to view prize winners on the day.

Bill Weigall, Executive General Manager – BUSY Education Australasia said, “In our third year, the support for our Hoops4Schools challenge this year has been heartwarming! It is wonderful to see so many people come together for such an important cause. I would like to thank everyone involved with 2025 Hoops4Schools, and our business sponsors in particular.

“This year our major sponsors included Basketball Queensland, Hundt Law, Be Challenged and Hot Tomato, and business support from KPMG, SEE Civil, NRI, Akela Constructions, ENTAG, Optus, Youth Music, Flow Telecommunications and Formiga1. Your generosity has contributed greatly to the success of this year’s campaign! The funds raised will directly support programs that provide young people with the opportunity to re-engage with their education and create meaningful careers.”
