Building on the success of our BUSY School campuses, which have supported thousands of young people to reconnect with their education and future pathways, we’re excited to announce the launch of The BUSY School Online.
Designed for students who are neurodivergent, managing medical conditions, or simply needing greater flexibility, The BUSY School Online provides a supportive, adaptable learning model where every student can thrive.
Just like our on-campus experience, the online program offers Year 11 and 12 students the chance to complete their QCE while exploring meaningful career options — whether that leads to employment, further study or vocational training.
With live online classes, flexible scheduling, and one-to-one support, students can complete Years 11 and 12 from home while planning for what comes next. Our calm, focused learning environment is ideal for students who prefer fewer distractions, helping them build confidence, skills and independence — on their own terms.
Students will also receive the same level of personalised support you’d expect from any BUSY School campus: real-time teacher check-ins, wellbeing support and warm, dedicated staff who are committed to helping them succeed.
Hanna Green, Head of Teaching, Training and Learning at The BUSY School stated, “The BUSY School Online will deliver learning that isn’t just content on a screen – it’s structured teaching, clear expectations and real teacher presence every step of the way.
“Our teaching model is grounded in evidence-based practice and trauma-aware design, ensuring students are supported, challenged and genuinely connected to their learning – even in an online environment.”
Access to Vocational Education and Training (VET) will not be restricted for online students either.
Jay Harris, Head of Industry and VET Engagement at The BUSY School affirmed that,”We are aligning online VET Programs by ensuring every student can engage in an online qualification that directly supports their desired career pathway and builds the employability skills needed for future success. By expanding accessible digital learning options, strengthening industry-aligned course offerings and connecting students with real employer engagement, we will remove barriers to participation. This ensures all young people engaged in The BUSY School Online have a purposeful VET pathway that leads to improved confidence, work readiness, and strong post-school outcomes.
At The BUSY School, student wellbeing is a number one priority and our online students will also benefit with access to the same wellbeing supports as the on-campus students.
Christi Hoover, Head of Wellbeing and Support for The BUSY School emphasised the wellbeing support available for online students, “We are ensuring student access to wellbeing support by providing every online learner with direct access to Education Youth Workers and allied health professionals through virtual case management and telehealth sessions, so that students feel supported, wherever they are.
“Online inclusive and emotionally supportive learning includes a trauma-informed digital classroom where students feel safe, connected, and understood—integrating restorative practices, individualised learning strategies, and wellbeing check-ins as part of everyday learning.”
Christi also reinforced the focus on community for our online learners, stating, “We understand that belonging matters, and online community and connection is strengthened by creating meaningful opportunities for students to engage with peers and staff through virtual wellbeing programs and interest groups, interactive sessions, and restorative practice.”
