The Board of Directors is tasked with the governance of The BUSY School.
The key role of the Board is to govern The BUSY School Ltd by ensuring that the company meets its objectives, as outlined in Clause 2.1 of the Constitution. The functions and powers of the Board are prescribed in Clause 7.1 and 7.2 of the Constitution.
In carrying out its responsibilities and exercising its powers, the Board at all times recognises its overriding responsibility to act honestly, fairly, diligently and in accordance with the law in serving the interests of The BUSY School Ltd company members, staff, students, parents and other community stakeholders.
It works to promote and maintain an environment within the School that establishes and maintains high moral and ethical principles as basic guidelines for all of its employees and representatives at all times.

Bill Weigall
Bill oversees the development and support of The BUSY School across Australia and New Zealand. With extensive experience teaching in independent schools in Queensland, the ACT, England, and Scotland, he is passionate about supporting students with diverse needs.
Karah Logan
Karah is committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where students and staff can thrive. She focuses on empowering individuals to reach their full potential and create lasting positive change.
Donna Loughran
Donna leads the strategic and operational direction of all Queensland campuses. With a career dedicated to supporting students in low socio-economic areas, she has a strong track record of re-engaging vulnerable learners and making education accessible, relevant, and successful for all.
Kerri Sheppard
Kerri is a passionate educator with 25 years’ experience in complex educational settings in the UK, Victoria and South East Queensland. She focuses on building a culture of trust and empowerment, in which young people from all backgrounds are supported to reach their potential and thrive in a community where they belong and are valued.

Andrew brings many years of leadership, management, and teaching experience from the education sector. He is passionate about the transformative impact that alternative education models can have on young people.
Chipo Gweshe
Chipo is dedicated to adapting curriculum and assessment per QCAA guidelines, ensuring they meet diverse student needs and aspirations. She upholds academic integrity, fostering values transferable beyond school.
Christi Hoover
Christi works to cultivate inclusive, student-centred environments where young people feel safe and empowered. With qualifications in education, counselling, and health, she takes a holistic approach to wellbeing, enriched by global experience and a deep respect for cultural diversity
Damian Watt
Damian has over 15 years of experience in educational leadership. He is passionate about building inclusive, future-focused environments that re-engage young people, empower staff, and foster collaboration to support success in whatever pathway they choose.
Hanna Green
Hanna is dedicated to empowering teaching staff through collaboration, learning, and professional growth, ensuring they create meaningful experiences that inspire individual student success.
Ingrid Rucinski
Ingrid is a skilled educational professional who has worked as a teacher and manager in the education sector both internationally and in Australia. She is passionate about fostering an agile work and learning culture.
Jay Harris
Jay is passionate about building strong industry connections and enhancing VET opportunities. He works to create real-world pathways that help students grow, develop skills, and thrive in their careers.
Jennifer Palmer
Jenny oversees the daily running of the Southport Girls+ Campus. She brings many years of experience in education, leadership, and wellbeing, and is passionate about our young people being successful in whatever pathway they choose.
Kylee Chandler
An experienced leader in secondary schools, working in the Moreton region education sector for 20 years, Kylee brings her valuable leadership expertise to the campus plus a wealth of local knowledge and connections.
Lee Shannon
Lee is a dedicated leader in curriculum, pastoral care, and student wellbeing, with senior leadership experience supporting First Nations students and those from rural and remote communities.
Naomi Vucas
Naomi oversees the daily running of The BUSY School Cairns Campus, student and staff welfare. Naomi brings many years’ of teaching and management experience in the education sector.
Rob Petersen
Rob brings 20+ years of experience in education. He’s passionate about supporting students and families throughout their educational journey, recognising the value of a holistic approach. As an active Coolangatta community member, he’s eager to support its youth.
Shane Blood
Shane oversees the daily operations of the Shailer Park Campus, and student and staff welfare. Shane brings a long history of working in the education sector in Australia and abroad.
Tim Gado
A dedicated advocate in education, Tim brings extensive experience to the table. With a passion for student wellbeing and engagement, he has a track record in fostering positive outcomes for students in senior schooling.
